COURSE DESCRIPTION: In this blended–learning course, participants will learn how mobile device can be used as powerful tools for teaching and learning. When integrated with free, web-based tools and resources, mobile devices offer students and teacher, the ability to share ideas through activities such as blogs, podcasts, and data gathering. While there are many legitimate concerns about using such devices in schools, it is important that schools prepare students for success in a world overflowing with information. It is also important for students to learn how to use technology ethically and responsibly. The Mobile Devices for Teaching and Learning course will highlight meaningful ways that these mobile devices can be used as learning tools in and out of the classroom, while also addressing the challenges and resistance that many educators face when trying to integrate the various devices into learning activities.
This is a six-week course in which you will receive 30 continuing education units or opt to receive 2 graduate credit hours from Adams State University.
