NEW COURSE – ART -You Can Build ART Into Your Teaching – Starts November 8th – In this course, you’ll explore the works of several contemporary artists working with a variety of techniques. You’ll experiment with these artists’ techniques, ideas, and concepts by creating artworks of your own, inspired by their work. These experimental art projects will help you find an idea that you’ll be able to develop a lesson relating to very own curriculum. Student Engagement with One-to-One – Starts November 8, 2017 – This course will introduce educators to student engagement, one of the most powerful factors affecting student achievement. Participants will explore highly effective instructional strategies in one-to-one learning environments, transforming current instructional units to better engage students by reworking unit content, redefining student work products and reflecting on teaching and learning processes. Learn to identify the characteristics of engaged learners, assess levels of student engagement, and reflect upon your teaching practices to better engage students.  To register for this course, please click here.


Designed Blended Learning-Anytime and Anyplace – Starts November 8 – Designing Blended Learning is an e-learning course for teachers that explains and demonstrates blended learning with interactive activities and locally relevant classroom examples. The course helps teachers transition to creating blended learning experiences. It provides the background rationale, planning strategies, and suggested technology tools. It offers suggestions for assessing student learning in a blended course and managing the day-to-day blended environment.  Participants will also learn how to create course area within the Moodle platform.  To register for this course, please click here.


Educational Leadership in the 21st Century – Starts November 8 – Educational Leadership in the 21st Century provides an interactive e-learning experience to support the face-to-face Leadership Forum. In this course, participants explore and discuss school leadership in our students’ technological 21st century world. School leaders explore examples of best practices, examine leadership behaviors, and develop strategies to better support their teachers. They follow two administrators who work together to better use technology to support teachers and improve student achievement. Participants discuss ideas and strategies with other leaders in the course and apply them to their own practice. Mobile Devices for Teaching and Learning – Starts November 8 – In this blended–learning course, participants will learn how  mobile device can be used as powerful tools for teaching and learning.  When integrated with free, web-based tools and resources, mobile devices offer students and teacher, the ability to share ideas through activities such as blogs, podcasts, and data gathering. While there are many legitimate concerns about using such devices in schools, it is important that schools prepare students for success in a world overflowing with information. It is also important for students to learn how to use technology ethically and responsibly. The Mobile Devices for Teaching and Learning course will highlight meaningful ways that these mobile devices can be used as learning tools in and out of  the classroom, while also addressing the challenges and resistance that many educators face when trying to integrate the various devices into learning activities.  To register for this course, please click here.
