Mobile Devices for Teaching and Learning – Starts May 2nd – 
In this blended–learning course, participants will learn how  mobile device can be used as powerful tools for teaching and learning.  When integrated with free, web-based tools and resources, mobile devices offer students and teacher, the ability to share ideas through activities such as blogs, podcasts, and data gathering. While there are many legitimate concerns about using such devices in schools, it is important that schools prepare students for success in a world overflowing with information. It is also important for students to learn how to use technology ethically and responsibly. The Mobile Devices for Teaching and Learning course will highlight meaningful ways that these mobile devices can be used as learning tools in and out of  the classroom, while also addressing the challenges and resistance that many educators face when trying to integrate the various devices into learning activities.  To register for this course, please click here.


Creativity in the Mobile Classroom – Starts May 2nd Creativity in the Mobile Classroom is an e-learning course for teachers/administrators that explains and demonstrates the development of creative thinking skills through a personalized, mobile learning environment. The course helps participants transition to a personalized learning environment with background research, planning strategies, and suggested technology apps and online tools. Curate, Collaborate, and Create:  A Wealth of Resources – Starts May 2nd – Curate, Collaborate, and Create: A Wealth of Resources is a three to four week, asynchronous, Internet-based course. It will present an overview of DigiEducate and provide instruction on locating Content Experts’ online educational resources and integrating them effectively into instructional activities to support student learning. Educators will learn how to create an Integration Plan and develop strategies for using technology in their own instructional settings.  To register for this course, please click here.


Project-Based Approaches – Starts May 2nd – Using specific classroom scenarios, teachers explore the characteristics and benefits of Project-Based Learning (PBL). Throughout the Intel® Teach – Project-Based Approaches course, teachers consider their own teaching practice as they follow a teacher new to project-based learning who discusses strategies with a mentor teacher. Planning and project design modules guide teachers through organizing the curriculum, the classroom, and students for successful 21st century projects. The assessment module demonstrates strategies for assessing students’ 21st century skills throughout an open-ended project. Inquiry in the Science Classroom – Starts May 2nd – Inquiry in the Science Classroom is an e-learning course for teachers that will give an indepth explanation and demonstration of the inquiry process. Using interactive activities and locally relevant classroom examples, this course is more than just for science teachers.  It is a course for all teachers who would like to incorporate inquiry within their curriculum areas. The course will build a foundation for inquiry and provide the rationale and research basis, common misconceptions, and specific strategies for inquiry as part of any science learning, regardless of the science discipline. Student Engagement with One-to-One – Starts May 2nd – This course will introduce educators to student engagement, one of the most powerful factors affecting student achievement. Participants will explore highly effective instructional strategies in one-to-one learning environments, transforming current instructional units to better engage students by reworking unit content, redefining student work products and reflecting on teaching and learning processes.
