What A paid professional development opportunity to learn to effectively integrate geospatial technologies to enhance student learning in existing lessons. The workshop will focus on learning the basics of ArcGIS online, an online mapping program. Using ArcGIS online, teachers will conduct a geospatial inquiry on global earthquake patterns by mapping high impact earthquakes, assessing areas of high risk, and looking at vulnerability indicators. This geospatial inquiry can be used with students in grades 6-12, but the workshop will also consider additional topics for inquiries as part of the workshop.

When June 12-14, 2017 at BSCS in Colorado Springs (5415 Mark Dabling Blvd.). This is a hybrid workshop with 24 hours of face to face professional development and approximately 11 hours of online work.
