Workshop:  Teaching Science with Model: A Practical Workshop for Teachers

Where:  Denver Museum of Nature and Science

When:  May 20, 2017, 8:30-3:30

Models are a vital part of science and engineering—and are becoming increasingly fundamental in science instruction. Teachers participating in this workshop will engage with modeling activities that are carefully selected to explore how science and engineering practices, such as those in the Next Generation Science Standards, can be made a practical and effective part of science instruction.  Join us to look at examples from the geosciences (e.g., geology, hydrology, meteorology, and oceanography) whose scientific concepts and principles apply to a wide range of science topics.

To register, visit: http://bit.ly/2ptrvr9 to pre-register and for more specific information about logistics (e.g., parking, where to go when you arrive). Space in this workshop is limited.
